BIG HOPES FOR JAKARTA

I was born in Jakarta. And I've been spending 26years my life in Jakarta. The big city that have been Indonesian Dream for long time. Every people from every regions in Jakarta comes to try their fortune in big city. They comes with many different background with big hopes and dream to be winner. They leave their convenience & comfortable place in village with big hopes. Although most of them regreeted and decided to get back to village.

22 June 2008, Jakarta has been 481 years. There must be so many stories behind. Even that happy, bad, sad, good stories. But it has enriched our Jakarta Heritage.

Jakarta is teh capital city of Indonesia. Its also the biggest & the most modern city in Indonesia. It was formerly known as Sunda Kelapa (397-1527), Jayakarta (1527-1619), Batavia (1619-1942), and Djakarta (1942-1972).

The History of Jakarta dates back to at least the 14th Century with the development of a small port of Hindu Pajajaran Kingdom at the mouth of Ciliwung River. Searching for the fabled “Spice Island”, the Portuguese were the first Europeans to arrive and establish a fortress on the site in the early 16th Century.

The old port attacked by a neighboring sultanate under leadership of Prince Fatahillah. After the assault, the Portuguese navy fleet destroyed. Fatahillah changed the name of the Sunda Kelapa port to Jayakarta, meaning “Total Victory”, commemorating the defeat of the local Hindu Kingdom and their European allies. According to some historians, this event took place on June 22, 1527, a date that later was officially recognized as the birth of the city of Jakarta.

It was to this town that Dutch spice merchants came in the late 16th Century and began a trading association with Europe that s dictate the story df Jakarta, and Indonesia as a nation, for nearly 350 years. Under the aggressive leadership of Jan Pieterzoon Coen, the Dutch East India Company (VOC) proceeded forcibly to take session to the town of Jayakarta, renaming it Batavia in 1619; from here, they ruled Indonesia for more than three centuries. Following the Japanese invasion and rule of the country frôm 1942-1945, on August 17, 1945, Indonesia’s first President Soekarno proclaimed Indonesia independence and Jakarta Became the accepted nation’s capital.

Over the last several decades, Jakarta has proudly developed into one of Asia's most prominent metropolitan centers. With a current population of nearly nine million, Jakarta has undergone dramatic growth. Today, Jakarta's skyline is covered by modern highrises. The many state-of-the-art shopping centers, recreation complexes and toll-roads have become hallmarks of the city. The quality of life and the general welfare of its inhabitants have improved considerably with the city's fast pace of development. Jakarta's cultural richness and dynamic growth contribute significantly to its growing importance as one of the world's leading capital cities.

Jakarta is one of Indonesia's designated tourist areas. It is a gateway to other tourist destinations in Indonesia and is equipped with all the means of modern transportation by air, sea, rail, or by land. It has the largest and most modern airport in the country (Bandara Soekarno-Hatta), the most important harbour in Indonesia (Tanjung Priok) and is well-connected by rail of good roads to other destinations in Java, Sumatra, and Bali, Busway.

Jakarta, once considered as primarily a stop-over to more worthwhile destinations in the country, has become a major destinations in its own right. Visitors come for Jakarta'' complete facilities and attractions that are in many ways unique and not available elsewhere. In the field of tourism Jakarta offers four and five star hotels on par with similar establishments elsewhere in the world, convention facilities, amusement parks, shopping centers, historical buildings, museums, tours, and many other tourist attractions. Almost every 1km there must be shopping centre. Even many strategic areas in Jakarta is surrounded by more than 2 shopping centre. E.g. Senayan is surrounded by Plaza Senayan, Senayan City, STC, and what else? The worse is Blok M. In very close time Blok M will not only be surrounded by Plaza Blok M, Blok M Pasaraya, Blok M Mall, Melawai, but also Blok M Square. Wow.......It will be shopping paradise. But how about with the seller, merchants?

Foreign banking has remained centred in Jakarta, but investments have spread out over the provinces in the past decade. Though it is still the major stop for bussiness people looking for chances and possibilities in Indonesia.

The famous thing from Jakarta is the crowded traffi. Traffic Jam in everywhere. Will busway solve the transportation problem? I dont think now. May be next couple years. Could you imagine?Busway will reduce roadway 1/3 to 1/2 space of road will be allocated for busway. But private cars, bus, public transportation are still going on. Hem..........terribly traffic Jam. Ok........I hope Fauzi Bowo can fulfill our big hopes for Jakarta. Lets hand in hand to make Jakarta better.

Happy anniversary Jakarta 481th! Long live Jakarta!!!

THE GIRLS OF RIYADH

Last week I read another marvelous novel. The novel which was based on true story. Well, I guessed. Because the novel mentioned it. GIRLS OF RIYADH is being referred to as "Saudi Arabian-style of S** and the City". A secret look into the lives of professional women as they search for love. But this love story is set in the conservatively Islamic Riyadh as opposed to the melting pot of Manhattan. Riyadh girls dance, eat McDonald's and shop, but only with each other. Their link to the male world is through cell phones and online chat rooms, and even then they are not allowed to choose with whom they can spend the rest of their lives.

Rajaa Alsanea's book follows the storylines of four fictional women, which is a style found in many contemporary novels. In all of these books, four women's lives interchange throughout the pages. Some are more conservative, some are more liberal, some are bold, some are shy, but all represent different faculties of the feminine experience. When each set of four is taken as a whole, the female reader is more apt to be able to identify with at least one of the characters.

In this particular novel, Gamrah is the most conservative, Sadeem is the hopeless romantic, Michelle brazenly questions her society's restrictions, and Lamees is the one who succeeds in getting exactly what she wants. At first it's hard to keep the characters, and their various love interests, straight. But as time goes on and the characteristics of the individual personalities are revealed, their intertwining story becomes clear and fascinating.

What makes this so much different from the chick-lit that has come before is the setting. Alsanea holds her own as a writer, but her background is what sets her apart. As Americans we are generally unfamiliar with the goings-on of the Saudi Arabian elite. Even some of the elite themselves aren't very familiar with what goes on behind closed doors, or at least they aren't open to talk about it freely. Thus, while S**AND THE CITY blazed a trail for American women to be open about s**, GIRLS OF RIYADH blazed a trail for not just openness about s** but about love, religion and the limitations presented by family and society.

The only thing that feels disjointed about GIRLS OF RIYADH is the unnamed narrator, who tells the story about her friends through emails sent out to a mailing list every Friday after prayers. The narrator doesn't seem to serve much purpose, minus responding to hate mail and praise that she receives after every post. It is as if Alsanea wants to show how controversial her book is to someone who might question that fact, but the story alone educates the reader as to the sensitive nature of the subject matter. Instead, the narrator's responses seem only to break the pattern of the story itself and provide an unwanted interruption to its flow.

And I amazed with the story. And I guessed, there is undercover Saudi Arabian girl. Yeah..........

THE HISTORY OF TAJ MAHAL

A week a go I was addicted to novel about The Legend of Taj Mahal. I started from the book "Beneat of A Marble Sky". The author is John Shors. I'm not really sure, it was a true story or some fictional story surrounding the building of the Taj Mahal. While historians agree that the Taj Mahal was built by an emperor in the seventeenth century who was grieving the loss of his wife, the true details surrounding this story have been lost. John Shors imagines them in Beneath a Marble Sky, bringing to life a story of love, war, beauty and tragedy. Its a fabulous story that inspire me alot.

Beneath a Marble Sky starts when Princess Jahanara is old. She is living in secret, and telling her story to her granddaughters for the first time. The reader is told that Aurangzeb, her brother, is the emperor. When no one can overhear, she tells them a fantastic tale of her true identity and their heritage. The woman is Jahanara, daughter of Shah Jahan, a descendant of Emperor Jahangir, the Emperor of Hindustan in the early 1600s who built the Taj Mahal in memory of his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal.

The recent years have been the only peaceful ones Jahanara has know since the days of her youth, now forced to hide from her brother, the Emperor Alamgir, "Conqueror of the World," who would put his sister to death if he knew where to find her as he did with his brothers. As the oldest child, Jahanara is favored by both parents for her beauty and intelligence and willingly accepts an arranged marriage, although she is unhappy with her husband, who beats and humiliates her.

The Emperor Shah Jahan is obsessed with the Taj Mahal, directing his daughter to oversee the daily progress of the building; there she meets the love of her life, Isa. Through her father's machinations, Jahanara is able to enjoy private moments with her lover and bears him a daughter, convincing her husband the girl is his. With Isa and her daughter, life is bearable for Jaharana.

After the death of his wife, the bereft Shah Jahan, barely able to attend to the business of his kingdom, allows his warlike son Aurangzeb too much freedom, intending the more compassionate Dara to assume the throne after he dies. Unfortunately, Aurangzeb (later known as Alamgir) becomes more powerful, eventually seizing the throne and imprisoning his father, slaying any brothers who might claim the throne.

The following years are filled with turmoil for Jahanara, separated from her beloved and their daughter and eventually imprisoned with her father. Through a series of twists and turns, the princess endures years of hardship and betrayal, using her extraordinary guile to escape from her brother. In the most desperate hours of her confinement, the princess draws strength from the love of her mother and memories of the early years.

The struggles of the princess to protect her ailing father, endure the enforced distance from her lover and daughter and live with the constant acid of Alamgir's hate are depicted in vivid detail. Only with patience and cunning does Jahanara manage to survive, learning the true nature of humanity with the unexpected aid of those who also loved her mother.

Filled with the harsh beauty of the desert and the inimitable Taj Mahal, Shors guides the reader through the Scheherazade-like mysteries of the Middle East: the luxuries of the harem, the clashing swords of war and the ties of love that cannot be broken. With a passion that transcends the ages, the daughter of Emperor Shah Jahan learns the true meaning of her heritage and the obligations of royalty.

But its a dangerous book for people who doesnt really understand about Islam. I'm worried people will think Aurangzeb, Jahanara, Shah Jahan, Dara, Isa were trully muslim who has aplied Islam totally. In the book, Jahanara did zina with Isa, her lover. But we are as a reader will think that its true. Jahanara has a bad husband who always do zinah with woman slavers. He always hurts Jahanara. And Jahanara amrried her for the sake of political practice. Her daddy forced her to marry.

But then when Jahanara fell in love with Isa. But she was still in marriage although she was unhappy. She decided to run away with her lover Isa. She did zinah and gave birth Arjumand. Her the only daughter. And Shah Jahan permitted her to do that. Even Shah Jahan facilitated her. Its confusing.

Then Aurangzeb, the cruel emperor who always quoted verses in Quran to everybody is not a good muslem. He did zinah, killed many people even his own brother, as he also intended to kill Jahanara and Shah Jahan also. He is a tricky man. Wuahhhhh........there are not muslim.

First I thought because the author is a British and not a muslim. So he interpreted the history on his own imagination. Its a trully fictional story. Then I tried to read another book about Taj Mahal. A story of Mughal India by Timeri N. Murari. It has different point of view.

When his queen Arjumand Banu-Mumtaz-i-Mahal-the Chosen One of the Palace-died, Shah Jahan wanted to build a monument that was the image of his perfect love for her. For twenty-two years, twenty thousand men laboured day and night to fulfill the emperor's obsession. The result was the Taj Mahal, a marble mausoleum lined with gold, silver and precious jewels.

This powerful novel narrates the story of the Taj on two parallel levels. The first one tells the passionate love story of Shah Jahan and Arjumand. The second recounts the later years of Shah Jahan's reign, the building of the Taj Mahal and the bloody pursuit of the fabulous Peacock throne by his sons. Intertwined in the building is the story of Murthi, the Hindu master craftsman sent as a gift to the emperor to carve the famous marble jail around Arjumand's sarcophagus.

Murari has skilfully recreated the period against which the story is set, the sensual opulence of the palace, the grinding poverty of seventeenth century India, the vicissitudes of Shah Jahan's reign and the historical background of the conflict between men of different faiths.

Anyway, both of good novels. But please be objective when you read this books. Dont judge Muslim as you read on that books. Peace!!!

PMS

Few days behind I was so mellow, emotional and became irritated. I've made some people became peevish. I also felt something strange with my body. Last nite, I woke up for tahajud and sahr as usual. I usually do fast sunnah every Monday-Thursday. But why today was not so comfort. I was weak and had been hungry before lunch. And yeah, its happened.

Yeah, i realized the strange things that happened to me was PMS. What is PMS? The term PMS stands for Premenstrual Syndrome, a familiar acronym used to describe a cyclical challenge with a confusing array of physical, emotional or behavioral responses experienced by an amazingly large number of women every month in the days and even weeks before their menstrual periods begin. In spite of widespread myth, misinformation and politically incorrect sexist jokes, the truth about PMS is that it is real-as real as any other legitimately recognized physical condition with a combination of physical and emotional responses that are all too often dismissed as trivial. In fact, PMS responses are known to challenge health, change normal routine and impact lifestyle.

Almost all woman will become more irritated & emotional when they are getting closer with their period. So beware! Never ever wake up a sleeping lion. Hehhehe...........They will become so much angry only for small reasons.

THE HOLY WOMAN

Last night I read a nice novel. The tittle is THE HOLY WOMAN. It was a nice story about 'Shahzadi Ibadat'. Its about life journey of a Pakistani girl, Zarri Bano. Sarri Banois a most fortunate young woman. She has wealth, beauty and brains, and plenty of freedom. At the age 27, she remains unmarried, since none of the suitors she has met at University in Karachi or within her privileged family circle come close to her ideal man. Then she meets Sikander Din, a handsome young business tycoon, who sweeps her off her feet. The pair fall in love and wish to marry, but Zarri Bano’s father Habib Khan has other ideas. Imagining his daughter has been snubbed, he takes an instant dislike to Sikander (in Indonesian spelling Iskandar, or Alexander in west). A family tragedy follows. Jafar, the Khans’ only son is killed in a riding accident and Habib is left with a terrible dilemma: who will inherit and manage his lands?

Resurrecting an ancient and terrible tradition, Habib decides to make Zarri Bano his heiress. After a ceremony of marriage to Quran, she will lead a life of religious duty, and of celibacy. Wedding, children, the love of a man and a woman – all will be denied to her.

For Zarri Bano is about to become her clan’s Shahzadi Ibadat – The Holy Woman. Its a fabulous story of Qaisra Shahraz! I think Qaisra is a Pakistani and she knows better about that culture. Wow......inspiring story. I hope i'll follow soon.

May be next time I'll tell you all people that I know here. But for this time, I'll only tell about my team in Marketing.

CI CATHY
As I told you before, until now she is still a wonder woman. She always has extra energy to do something. She is one of our employee that has 2 jobs. She assists our GM and presenter of XINWEN (A Mandarin News). She is typically of super duper busy business woman. No wonder if someday she texts us at 2am. What time she get sleep? Noone knows. Well, guys she is our high quality single woman. If you really dream of an energetic woman. She is the perfect candidate. She is pretty, kind, generous, work-a-cholic, etc. Heheheh.....we love to persuade her to pay our lunch in resto. She is kind of panicked woman.

BANG PARLIN

He has unique accent. I love when he spoke to us. Sounds funny. Some of guys here love to imitate his speaking ways. And then we laughed together after, Mas Sofyan or other guys pretended to be Bang Parlin. Almost all his hair is grey. But noone will say he is an old guy. He always looks happy. He has optimistic eyes. He walks with full of spirit. And he is our priest. Sometimes he loves to preaching. He's kinda religious guy. As long as i know, he is a member of God's servant in Christian Community. A week a go was his birthday, he brought SOMAY for our breakfast. As usual we prepared greeting card for him and all people in marketing would sign the card. Actually we prepared it for surprise. But unfortunately, he looked that before the time. Even he pushed us to finish it as soon as possible.

MAS AGUS

He is a manager of research&planner. He is kind of a smart guy. He graduated from Faculty of Statistic IPB (the same college of mine). I love when he share his knowledge in meeting. He spoke like a lecture. He is SMART. Actually he is little bit clumsy. When he told us the jokes, somethimes we didnt understand that. But then he laughed by himself. Then we felt guilty if we didn't laugh. Yeah, every smart guy behave like that. But he is kind. He always pays attention to us. Even when Tari married in central Java, he came with his family. Oh...its so nice. He is a work-a-cholic also. No wonder.........many employees here do the same. Hehhehe...........Luckyly Surya Paloh hires us.

MAS SOFYAN

Who doesnt recognize with Mas Sofyan. Actually he is kind. He speaks like a western. OUTSPOKEN. He told us whatever in his mind. He doesnt care with other feeling. But its fun. He brighten up our office. Office isnt complete without him. Oneday when he was absent, there was not fun as usual. Something was missing. Hahahha...........He likes to tell anybody proudly about his luckiness by marrying a beautiful women from rich family. He has new car. He told us that he had dreamed Grand Livina from long time. And He got it. Actually Mas Sofyan is little bit stingy. But oneday he became generous to us. He paid our lunch in hoka-hoka bento to celebrate his new car. Every girls know that he is a basket eyes. Girls, never ever wearing sexy dress in front of him. He also graduated from IPB. Few days again, he will go to Makkah to do Umrah. I hope he will be better than before.

MAS SAIFUL

He is kind of work-a-cholic. He loves to behave economical. He is one of our high quality 'jomblo'. He has been getting old day by day. But he hasnt chose any girls to be his wife. I told him not to close his eyes for every opportunities. I have offered him 2 moslemah before, and other guys also offered him their good friend to be candidate. But he ignored. But yesterday, I introduced him with my friend. He looked enthusiastic. And ofcourse me and the gank of marketing support him spiritful. He also graduated from IPB. He is so calm if you dont recognize him. Girls, he is looking for wife now! Please contact marketing foor further information.

MAS FATAH

Mas Fatah is the oldest. He looks enjoying his job. Before I came here, he did all my tasks. But now he can do other thing, when I make synopsis. Actually, he is trully farmer. He has a large field in Bogor. He asked the villagers to plant rice. Its organic rice. Few months ago he harvested his organic rice. Actually he offered us to buy. But it was pretty expensive. Mas Fatah is 'tua-tua keladi'. He is flirtatious. We always think that he has affair with other woman. Actually he likes to see pretty woman with heejab, but his wife hasnt worn heejab. But I'm sure he is a loyal husband.

MAS MIKO

Mas Miko is the most creative person in our team. He is our graphic designer. He is an artist. He is my partner. If Mas Miko made the design of our template. Then I made the synopsis. I always amaze with his design. Its very good design. If someday i establish my own company, I will hire him to make design of our logo, brochures, etc. He did as his favor. Sometimes he ignored our suggestion. Because he is an artist. He is a moody person. His design will be almost perfect if he is in good mood.

AGUNG

A guy from Sumbawa. Yeah, i thought in 1st sight. Actually he is the smartest in team. He graduated from IPB with predicate almost cum-laude. He has only one 'C' amongst his 'A' scores. I dont know why we always think that he is an expertise in adult things. Even he has never been dating with someone. Yeah he is our black sheep. He is a nice person. Funny. Oh ya, he is our IT technician. Beware he is a hacker. We usually asked about IT to him. I told you, he is a smart one.

CHRISTIE

I spent many times with her. She's fun. I think she is the most naive person. She never judges person bad. She always thinks good. No wonder, If she never involved in gossips. She is pretty. She has good taste in style. I like her style. She is our driver when the girls want to go somewhere. Because she drives car. We couldn't go to anywhere if she didn't come. But we could still depended on guys. She always brings her own 'bento'. Anyway, she is our other high quality 'jomblo'.

TARI

Tari is a pregnant lady. She is enjoying her pregnancy. Although at first she met difficult. Yeah its her first time pregnancy. I dont know why she is so addicted to 'Hoka-Hoka Bento'. But at first 3 months, we didn't really find any differences of her body. Hehehe.....In some case, we are really good partner. I mean partner to go eat together. She is jealous with me. Although I eat more than her. I'm still slimmer than her. Since married, she have to wake in th early morning then take bus for almost 3 hours everyday. What a pity she is.

HANUM

Another IPB-er here. She graduated from husbandry faculty. And now she is our planner. How could? hahahha...She is eager to marry soon. I told her to enjoy her single time. May be one day you'll miss your past time. She is fun. I spent much time with her. Sometimes we went to masjid together. Then spent times to chat. She is a good listener. As I also love to listen her. We are a good friend.

YUSUF (=UCUP)

Well, he is our superstar. He is our josh material. No single day without joshing him. I dont know why he looks so perfect to be joshed. He is another single who graduated from IPB. He is our researcher. He is a kind of annoying guy. We often had confrontation. I don't know why he always to be opposition in every debate. He is another naive person.

MBAK VIZA

Another IPB-er. I don't know why this place is so full with IPB-ers. She is an experienced researcher. If you wanted to ask about our TV ratings analysis. Just ask her! She is fun enough. She is one of dedicated employee. Could you imagine, she has to spend many hours on the way Bogor-Kedoya-Bogor everyday. I cant imagine that. She must be so tired. At home she has to manage her little boy & husband. Wow...she is tremendous. And I guess predicate 'Wonder Woman' still on her hand. Congratulation.

YANI

She is our newcomer. She replaces Resti. She is our administration and secretary. She is a hard-worker. She did all tasks perfectly. She learned fast. She looks serious all day. The bad fact is no one in marketing has her mobile number, except Ci Cathy. Wuahahah.......how could? Well, after this I'll keep your mobile number. She is nice. She is getting enjoy with the job and with us.

WAHYU

He was my partner in previous duty. We were good friend. But then when I moved here, we didn't so close as before but we are still in friend. He is funny. She is one of big dreamer here. The one that I like from this guy is he is enthusiastic. We have same vision but absolutely different mission. He will be a student of post graduate. Finally his one dream will come true soon.

SHOWA DAY

When I came to my desk this early morning. I checked my desk calendar. I saw tomorow, 29 April is holiday. The color is red. Yiipe...........holiday. That was my 1st expression. Happy ofcourse. But then when I checked to another calendar. 29 is blue, not red as in my calendar.

MASHA ALLAH, I just realized that my calendar is different. Its a Japanese Calendar. 29 April is a SHOWA DAY. A birthday of Showa caisar. Before 2006, it was still MIDORI HI NO (greenery day). Now MINORI HI NO will be on 4th May. Hayaaa..................I dont know why Japanese government moved that special day.

Yeah, my colleagues fron NHK-Japan gave me with other stuffs as a new year gift. As We had good relationship on news business. But this year I havent met with her and her husband anymore. Already missed her. Hem, she was my Japanese talk-friend. I usually talked to her with a half Japanese. Suddenly I remember all of that I learned few years ago. When I prepared myself for Monbusho Scholarship. But, I've never been there. Due to my mom didnt allow me to stay alone in Japan. Then dream was getting blur.

When my friend, finally went to Japan for master degree this April. I remember with all of my dreams. Sad.......? not really, I've already reached my other dreams. I'm a popular now. I guessed I just launched one novel. But my other writings became book. Hahahha......how could? Yeah I checked there are 2 books. "Seandainya Saya Istri Aa Gym' and 'Samudera Tahajud'. These few weeks, will be my hectic days. I'm preparing my wedding. Not only me but a whole of family, and ofcourse my dear one. I've never imagined its gonna be big job. Masha Allah....

One night, I woke up for tahajud. Not same like the other night. That night, I was asking to myself about 'Why should I marry ?". I dont want the wedding plan is only a big plan to show the world how finally love combines me and my dear one. Most of couple was very exciting on preparing wedding. They were exciting to show the world, that finally they succesfully passed single phase and met with their soulmate. Big party would be held to celebrate their wedding. Even most couple tried hard to get debt in big amount only to celebrate one moment. Yeah, wedding ceremony is so much important for some people.

What about me? Although me and my dear one knew better about Islamic concept. We are accepting Islamic concept to marry as simple as possible. Akad nikah in Masjid with humility moment. Every body comes to pray ou happiness. Then we pass our wedding nite by praying together, reciting quran, then romantic nite. Masha Allah.

But, I'm living in society. I'm the first and the only daughter in my family. My parents will not allowing us mary without wedding party. Thats a big deal. Before I felt, my goal to marry isnt right. I contemplated my self in silence night after tahajud.

Why should I marry ?

  1. Because I need to complete my deen by marriage a pious man.
  2. Because I need to have family that will make I have goal of life. While I'm single all goals seemed so egoist. I just want to make my self fun enough. No responsible to maintain it goal. Well, I dont have hubby, kids, etc. Why should I save my money. hehehhehe..........
  3. I will only marry with a man that can be my Imaam. Its enough for me. I dont care who is he. Is he black, has different caste, country, welfare, etc. If he is a pious one, he will never hurt me. Insha Allah. And I have a partner to enter Jannah.
  4. I love him for the sake of Allah, I dont want my love is going to bad love as other couple do.
  5. hem....little dream. I just want to be happy in dunya and akhirat.

Ameen...............

So readers, I think I have ending story for my next novel. The novel was unfinished due to I was still finding my ending story. But now, I know............Stay june on this year for my next novel.

THE NEW DAY

Its my 1st day in planner. Well, I speed up my learning process. Today I've finished 4 synopses; Earth From Above, Big Ideas For A Small Planet, Luciano Pavarotti, and Waspada Banjir. The 1st three synopses are canned documentary program that we bought from foreign TV. And WASPADA BANJIR is a breaking news to welcoming flood season in Indonesia. Its a kinda accidentally program. We'll broadcast in Metro Pagi, Metro Siang, Metro Hari Ini and Metro Malam.

Why flood? Because flood has attacked in everywhere. We were hoping that flood would also attack our building. So we could go home earlier. But unfortunately, rain was not so hard today. The water surface on river in front of our office was not to high. But some of friends who's living in flood are went home earlier as usual.

We made synopses then Our Account Excecutive will use that for pre-selling. Hem....exciting how to choose words to attract prospective client to advertise their product in our TV.

I think, Mas Fatah was not so weird as i presummed. He is fun enough. If yesterday he challenged me. It was just test. But finally he used my words on that synopsis (Visit Indonesia Year 2008). Hem.....Mas Fatah, please dont angry to me. Peace!

I think Wahyu and Mas Murti has already missed me. Hahahah..............They were often visiting my room. Hahahha..............hem.......they missing a feminine side from me. No more loud laughing from me. I bet they will admit that they miss me.

Ok.....hope it will be my wonderful time. As Mas Shahid told me. He called me in the morning when I was going to office. He informed me about the wire transfer. He also supported me to be bravely facing new challenges in new job. Bravo.....oh so sweet.

Sssttt.... I have had a fan here. I dont know he really meant it. He said, "I love you" to me then he off. He dissapeared. I appreciate your brave to say that. But....sorry. You know the answer. Next time please tell in properly!

YESTERDAY

Yesterday was my trial day in new division. I learned how to make synopsis with Mas Fatah. He showed me so many proposals and synopsis that he made. Firstly, he introduced me with marketing tools. He told me that if we launched new program to prospective clients, we had to prepare marketing tools e.g. packages, proposals, synopsis. A synopsis could make to follow up producer idea, or we made it by ourselves. In last 30 minutes, he challenged me to make a synopsis from "Visit Indonesia Year 2008" proposal. GOSH.........I needed 30 minutes to make it. It was not easy as I thought before. I love to write and the media forced me to write in brief and shortly.

Well, I finally finished my 1st challenge. And when I showed to him, he erased some sentences that I thought it was my best words. I was just sightseeing. Dissapointed?!? mmmhhh, little bit. But I tried to manage my heart. Eventhough I have many track records in writing. But a synopsis in marketing tools seemed different to novel, articles, short stories or script for performance. It was definitely different. Or may be me and Mas Fatah have different views. FYI, his age is almost twice than me. Hem...........I'm so much cheerful with my youth, and he is so much wiseful with his age. DAMN.................I guessed my 1st month in new division will be my hardest time. I really will miss my time with Wahyu & Mas Murti. Hahahha...........we'll be only separated by door.

Yesterday, I went home with Gita and Wahyu. Few weeks behind, I have good relationship with Gita. I realized Gita is a good girl. I like her views. Gita usually went home with me when she had college schedule. She is still study for her bachelor degree at Budi Luhur. We usually took public transport, but sometimes Wahyu dropped us.

Yesterday, we decided to take some foods on the street. We preferred to buy MARTABAK TELOR. After we finished a portion of MARTABAK TELOR. Gita decided to buy MARTABAK MANIS with KEJU (=cheese). GOSH, and all finished. We didnt just eat, but talked much thing. We were so chatty. We talked about job, gossips, and strange case.

The most popular issues was a strange girl. Before I was here. I met that girl twice accidentally in somewhere. But then I met for 3 times after I work in here. On the 3rd meeting, when Wahyu was with me. Wahyu had feeling with her. Thats why I like to teasing her, "Hey you got salam from Wahyu". Just to make her blushing.

Then in one late of night, She called me. In a brief she asked me to lend money. It was big amount Rp 1.000.000,-. When I asked what for? She just answered to pay her brother/sister school fee. And she also suggested me if I have no cash, may be I could give her credit card. She would buy by my credit card and sell them to get money. I just realized when morning came. Why me??? I just met her for three times. and the reason was not good reason. If she really wanted to pay school fee, why she didnt tell me or somebody else at least a week before. And I decided not to give her. I told Wahyu regard this.

I was getting suspicious that she was a member of sects that obligated to get money as monthly charity. When I told her that I couldnt give her. She asked me to ask Wahyu about this. WHAT??? Why Wahyu? Or she thought that Wahyu really in love with her? It really broke our mind. We thought, she is one of the sect member such as NII.

In Monday she again told me. But she reduced the amount. Mmmhhh......suspicious. Then we never told about that anymore. We just ignore, and I hope our relationship will be good. Then............after 2 weeks, she again sms-ed Wahyu. She invited Wahyu to accompany her for wedding or just window shopping at bookstore.

When Wahyu told me about that, I shocked. Then Wahyu said, "Can I go with your friend? I will follow what she want, but I need win-win solution for that. She got what she wanted and I have to get what I want."

"WALLAHI, Wahyu! Dont do that! Please dont try to do that. I will never consider you as my friend anymore. She is my friend, and I dont want she hurt. or something bad happens to her".

"But she doesnt have any value anymore in my eyes. Whay should i respect a girl who offered herself to strange guy. What compensation? money? eventhough she didnt need money but she has behaved agressively to a strange guy. Does she know, it was extremely bad".

"DONT!", I almost cried.

"Ok..........I will not. But if she forced me. I'll do. Remember that!", Wahyu.

Well, girls.....................whoever you. You have to keep yourself value! Just behave as a girl behave. A guy doesnt really like if you attack them agressively.

SMART NOT EQUAL TO SUCCESS

Yesterday I got phone call from my schoolmate when I was in elementary and Junior high school. Her name is Yunita Umniyati. She got scholarship from Rusian Government to take master of Atomic Science. He took her degree in University of Indonesia for physics science. Woww.....! She loves to be scientist.

When I got news from her two years ago about her planning to get master in Rusia. I just said wow!!! Incredible. Well, since I was in elementary. I was always better than her. I told her for many times, well you are so lucky. Smart will not guarantee you get the scholarship. The most important is WILLPOWER. And my friend has more WILLPOWER to get scholarship than me. I dont mean to claim that I'm smart. Its just an ilustration.

But, I'm sure oneday I'll get my scholarship in abroad. Insha Allah.....

Actually, I was little bit dissapointed with my parent. Few years ago when I graduated from high school I got chance to take Monbusho (Scholarship in Japan) due to my performance in high school. But seemed by parent didnt really permit me to go. Thats why I failed in last test. The reason was just because I'm the only daughter that my parent has.

Hem..........and now my hubby is a foreigner (Insha Allah). The consequences, I have to follow wherever that my hubby wants to go.

Sorry David.........!

David was one of my clients. Well, actually I was trapped on the deal that made by Programming & him. David wanted to make movie "Chassing Waves" which dedicated to Metro TV free of charge, but he will also offer to another TV station. The story tells about a Balinese who's getting popular in the world by his expertise. He is world champion in Surfing. The story narrates his background in Indonesia. As the compensation, David will get our footage free of charge.

The footage which he requested was Bali Bomb Blaster and mad demonstration. I had picked some footages but unfortunately when he came for previewing on Friday 26 January 2008. The 2 tapes were unavailaible. He hoped that he would get the tape on Monday 18 January 2008,before he flew to England in MiniDV.

I told him for many times, "well you made deal with programming so the decision maker would be programming not marketing. As the flowchart, all requested footage from marketing should get income". I also told the programming.

And I also told David that I will try my best when I get the tapes.

But then the deal has been approved by programming. I just gave them the list of tapes. Internal Memo has been delivered to library. But ........

Yeah, the tapes were still unavailable. Someone from newsmage division hasnt returned it yet since 15 January 2008. GOSH.......!

Well, I guess I made him dissapointed. Sorry David.........

Its time to move on

31st January 2008, will be my last day handling client. February I will move on to other section still in the same division. I will make synopsis, proposal and etc. In short, my writing talent will be more useful there than in here. I dont say, I hate my recent job. Well, I love to meet clients from differences background. So many stories there.

I didnt only sell the footages/programs but had emotional relationship with them. About Yasuko Sakao, a Japanese who's NHK agent in Indonesia. Yasuko is a Japanese who loves Indonesia. She has lived in Indonesia for more than 10 years. She took 'Balinese Culture' as her dissertation. She flew to Bali to conduct research. She was not only conducting research to get good mark. But she has fallen in love with Indonesia. She could dance Balinese nicely. Even she understand bali language, beside bahasa. Then finally she met with Kazuo Pontoh, an Indonsian who heredites Japanese blod from his daddy. They fell in love on each other and married. Now they have a 9 years old son who studies in Japanese School- Bintaro (Jakarta, Indonesia).

Yasuko is a nice person. Wel, I learned much from her. I could practice my Japanese language. Not only me who loves Yasuko. Our librarian also loves him, coz she loved to bring some cookies for us. Hehhehe..............Even on new year she gave me some gifts from Japan. It was not expensive but worthy for me. She appreciated my efforts to learn Japanese. Guess what?!?

About Lee which I had told in another article. About 2 Japanese from Asahi TV that made me laughing unstopable. They loved to narrate scenes when we were previewing footages. For example a cat, they would narrate "Hey I'm on TV. I'm a cat superstar".

About a girl from France, who said my office room is cooldest place. It was just like a winter in France. And many people that annoyed me and made me happy.

About a man who represented Production House in UK who inspired me alot to get my dream to continue my school in Japan. Well, he was one of angel that Allah sent to me. I need a reminder, I guess.

Here I have lovely partners. Mas MURTI, the kindest person in the world. A man who never angry with anybody. He always smiles to people. He could make people laughed without himself laughed.

WAHYU, wow........I spend many times with him. Well, he is almost similar to me. Both of them are best partner. EVen if I narrated some stories they could continue next sentences to make very nice scenes of drama. for example:

Mas Murti : Well, I heard someone called me. Did you? (He asked me when nobody was there except me and I didnt tell anything).

Me : (I looked back) Hey did you call him? Wait ya....Mas Murty busy. (serious looked at to nothing, imagined it was a ghost).

Mas Murti : (looked back) Sorry, wait I will talk to you later (also looked at to nothing 'ghost')

We both were laughing.

When Wahyu checked Air Asia schedule for flying to Bangkok on 19th March.

Me : How could you leave me on my birthday, even you know better that I will marry not far from that? (I acted almost crying).

Wahyu : Could you understand? I could see you happy with somebody else. Thats why I prefer to go away from you forever. (Cried)

We both were laughing

Ah I dont know what will happen later...............I'll miss my time here. With Mas Murti and Wahyu. We'll miss the time when CK was getting angry (I guessed hehehe.....) when we didnt tell her any progress report. Or........when I begged to Mas Murti to handle claim phone from Medan regarding ASAHI TV.

Anyway I love the time. Thank you pals.......You are best...........Lets move on to get SUCCESS!!!
